Who this course is for

Built for diploma/degree civil engineering students, working professionals and AutoCAD 2D users who want dedicated, focused training on Civil 3D for road and land development modelling — basic AutoCAD familiarity is helpful but every core concept is taught from the ground up.

By the end you'll build accurate terrain surfaces from survey data, design road alignments, profiles and corridors, model site grading with earthwork volumes, and produce complete, print-ready plan production sheet sets the way a design office expects.

7Quick answers

Do I need prior AutoCAD or civil drafting experience?

Basic familiarity with AutoCAD 2D drafting is helpful but not required — every Civil 3D concept, from points to corridors, is taught from the ground up.

Do I need my own laptop with Civil 3D installed?

A laptop with Civil 3D and reasonable specs is strongly recommended since you'll be practicing daily and building a portfolio, but institute computers with Civil 3D are also available in class.

Will I actually model real road/site projects, or is it mostly theory?

You'll model real terrain, corridors and grading from week one. Every module includes hands-on practice on real or realistic land development scenarios, ending in a full project capstone.

Is this course only about roads, or does it cover land development too?

This course covers both — corridor design for roads, and grading, earthwork and pipe networks for broader site/land development. Advanced structural or hydraulic design is covered in specialised tracks.

Are classes online, offline, or both?

Both. Offline batches run at our Alpha-1, Greater Noida campus; online live batches follow the same curriculum with the same trainers. Morning, evening and weekend timings are available.

What can I do after completing this course?

You'll be ready for Civil 3D designer, corridor designer and site development engineer roles, with a modelling portfolio of real projects, and can progress into advanced infrastructure design tracks with the same placement support.
