Built for diploma/degree civil & structural engineering students, working professionals and AutoCAD users who want dedicated, focused training on STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design — basic engineering mechanics helps, but every core concept is taught from the ground up.
By the end you'll model real 2D/3D structures, apply load cases and combinations, run linear static analysis, and design steel and RCC members as per Indian design codes the way a design office expects.

Setting up a new project with the right units, structure type and grid using the Structure Wizard.
03Nodes, Members & Structural Geometry+
Defining nodes and members to build accurate 2D and 3D structural geometry.
04Material & Section Properties (Steel & Concrete)+
Assigning material grades and cross-section properties from the section library for steel and RCC members.
05Supports & Boundary Conditions+
Applying fixed, pinned and spring supports, and setting realistic boundary conditions for a model.
06Load Cases: Dead, Live & Wind Loads+
Defining primary load cases — dead, live and wind — and applying them correctly to members and nodes.

Building load combinations using IS-code factors so the model is checked under realistic worst-case scenarios.

7Quick answers
Do I need prior knowledge of structural analysis or design?
Basic engineering mechanics is helpful but not required — every STAAD Pro concept, from geometry to code-based design, is taught from the ground up.
Do I need my own laptop with STAAD Pro installed?
A laptop with STAAD Pro and reasonable specs is strongly recommended since you'll be practicing daily and building a portfolio, but institute computers with STAAD Pro are also available in class.
Will I actually analyse and design real structures, or is it mostly theory?
You'll model and analyse real structural scenarios from week one. Every module includes hands-on practice on real or realistic problems, ending in a full analysis-and-design capstone project.
Which design codes are covered?
This course covers Indian Standard codes — IS 800 for steel design and IS 456 for RCC design — along with IS-code based load combinations. Advanced or international codes are covered in specialised tracks.
Are classes online, offline, or both?
Both. Offline batches run at our Alpha-1, Greater Noida campus; online live batches follow the same curriculum with the same trainers. Morning, evening and weekend timings are available.
What can I do after completing this course?
You'll be ready for structural design engineer, STAAD analyst and structural draftsman roles at design and consultancy firms, with a project portfolio, and can progress into advanced structural design tracks with the same placement support.
