3-Month Program · Civil 3D Modelling & Corridor Design
AutoCAD Civil 3D
24 hands-on modules · 18 tools & platforms · 90+ hours of training · Grading, corridor design and site-development modelling for roads and land development projects. Covers surfaces, corridors and grading design, built around real land development projects from day one.
Who this course is for
Built for diploma/degree civil engineering students, working professionals and AutoCAD 2D users who want dedicated, focused training on Civil 3D for road and land development modelling — basic AutoCAD familiarity is helpful but every core concept is taught from the ground up.
By the end you'll build accurate terrain surfaces from survey data, design road alignments, profiles and corridors, model site grading with earthwork volumes, and produce complete, print-ready plan production sheet sets the way a design office expects.

10Vertical Profiles & Profile Views+
Creating existing-ground and design profiles, and setting up profile views for a roadway.
11Assemblies & Subassemblies (Roadway Components)+
Building roadway assemblies from subassemblies — lanes, shoulders, curbs and daylighting.
12Creating Corridors from Alignments, Profiles & Assemblies+
Combining an alignment, profile and assembly to build a working roadway corridor model.
13Corridor Targets, Regions & Frequency+
Refining corridor behaviour with targets, region breaks and sampling frequency for accurate results.
14Corridor Surfaces & Sections+
Generating a corridor surface and cross-sections to review and quantify the design.
15Intersections & Roundabout Basics+
Using the Intersection wizard and basic roundabout tools to model junction geometry.
16Corridor Review, Editing & Design Checks+
Reviewing a corridor for design errors and making edits before moving to grading and plan production.
Phase 3Grading, Site Development & Plan ProductionModules 17–24Grading design, earthwork volumes, pipe networks and plan production sheet sets+
17Grading Objects & Feature Lines+
Using feature lines and grading objects to shape ground around structures and site features.
18Grading Design for Sites & Pads+
Designing site and building pad grading with slopes, daylighting and drainage in mind.
19Volumes & Earthwork Quantities (Cut/Fill)+
Comparing surfaces to calculate cut/fill volumes and generate earthwork quantity reports.
20Pipe Networks: Storm & Sanitary Basics+
Laying out storm and sanitary pipe networks with structures, and checking basic rule-based design.
21Pressure Networks Basics+
An introduction to pressure pipe network layout for water supply lines within a site.
22Plan Production: Sheets, Viewports & Labels+
Using the Plan Production tool to generate plan and profile sheets with view frames and labels.
23Data Shortcuts & Project Collaboration+
Sharing surfaces, alignments and corridors across drawings using data shortcuts for team workflows.

Producing a full project package — surface, corridor, grading, pipe network and plan production sheets.
318 tools & platforms you'll use
Everything is taught on real, industry-standard Civil 3D tools you'll use later on the job — not simulations. Swipe or use the arrows to browse every category.
Turning raw survey data into an accurate terrain model.
Modelling roads from alignment through to a working corridor.
Shaping sites, calculating earthwork and producing final plan sets.
4How each module is taught
Every module follows the same practical, real-drawing lens, so you always know what to expect in class.
Concept Walkthrough
Trainer explains the concept with a real corridor, surface or grading scenario first, then the tool or workflow.
Live Along
You build the same surface, alignment or corridor step by step, right alongside the trainer.
Hands-on Exercise
An independent task applying the concept to a new road or site development problem.
Doubt Clearing
One-on-one help for anyone stuck, before the class moves to the next module.
Weekly Assessment
A short practical AutoCAD test every week so gaps are caught early, not at the end.
5Projects & portfolio
Four practical, portfolio-ready modelling projects across the full syllabus — the kind of work you'll show in interviews.
- Project 1. Terrain surface model from survey points with contour and slope analysis
- Project 2. Road corridor design with alignment, profile and roadway assembly
- Project 3. Site grading design with cut/fill earthwork volume calculation
- Project 4. Capstone: complete road/land development project with corridor, grading, pipe network and plan production sheets
6Assessment & certification
Weekly practical assessments covering surface modelling, corridor design and grading workflows, with instructor review and feedback.
Final practical exam across all three phases, plus the capstone project used as your demonstrable, portfolio-ready proof of skill.
Certificate of completion, plus resume and drawing portfolio support through our 100% Placement Assist program.
7Quick answers
Do I need prior AutoCAD or civil drafting experience?
Basic familiarity with AutoCAD 2D drafting is helpful but not required — every Civil 3D concept, from points to corridors, is taught from the ground up.
Do I need my own laptop with Civil 3D installed?
A laptop with Civil 3D and reasonable specs is strongly recommended since you'll be practicing daily and building a portfolio, but institute computers with Civil 3D are also available in class.
Will I actually model real road/site projects, or is it mostly theory?
You'll model real terrain, corridors and grading from week one. Every module includes hands-on practice on real or realistic land development scenarios, ending in a full project capstone.
Is this course only about roads, or does it cover land development too?
This course covers both — corridor design for roads, and grading, earthwork and pipe networks for broader site/land development. Advanced structural or hydraulic design is covered in specialised tracks.
Are classes online, offline, or both?
Both. Offline batches run at our Alpha-1, Greater Noida campus; online live batches follow the same curriculum with the same trainers. Morning, evening and weekend timings are available.
What can I do after completing this course?
You'll be ready for Civil 3D designer, corridor designer and site development engineer roles, with a modelling portfolio of real projects, and can progress into advanced infrastructure design tracks with the same placement support.
