Who this course is for
Built for absolute beginners — students, job-seekers, homemakers and working professionals who've never used a computer for daily or office work. No prior computer knowledge is assumed anywhere in the syllabus.
By the end you'll confidently navigate Windows, manage files, use the internet and email safely, and create real documents and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel — the exact skills asked for in almost every entry-level office, retail and government-form job.
1Program structure
Four phases over 12 weeks, ordered so each skill builds on the last — from switching on a computer for the first time through to independently creating Word documents and Excel sheets.

Keyboard layout and typing posture, mouse clicks and gestures, printers, scanners, speakers, webcams and connecting basic peripherals.
03Operating System Concepts+
What an operating system does, Windows vs other OS, booting up, logging in, shutting down/restarting/sleep, and why updates matter.
04Windows Desktop & Start Menu+
Desktop icons, taskbar, Start menu, pinning apps, switching between open windows, notifications and the system tray.
05Windows File & Folder Management+
File Explorer, creating/renaming/deleting folders, copy-cut-paste, drag and drop, file types and extensions, search, and organizing files sensibly.
06Windows Settings & Control Panel+
Display and sound settings, date/time, adding a printer, managing storage space, Recycle Bin, and basic user account settings.

Installing and uninstalling software safely, using Task Manager for a frozen app, common error messages, and when/how to ask for IT help.

Bar, column, line and pie charts, choosing the right chart for your data, chart titles/labels, and printing charts.
26Practical Capstone Project+
Build a real personal-use kit: a Word resume/notice, an Excel expense or attendance tracker with formulas and a chart, and an email sending both as attachments.

7Quick answers
I've never touched a computer before — can I really join?
Yes. This course is designed for absolute beginners. Phase 1 starts with switching on a computer and using a mouse and keyboard — nothing is assumed.
Will I be able to use MS Word and Excel confidently by the end?
Yes. By Phase 3 and 4 you'll be independently creating formatted Word documents and Excel sheets with formulas and charts, and the capstone project puts it all together.
Do I need my own laptop for this course?
No. Classes are conducted on institute computers with MS Office installed. You're welcome to bring your own laptop if you prefer to practice on it.
Is typing speed a requirement to join?
No. Typing improves naturally through the course as you practice email, Word and Excel exercises every week; no minimum typing speed is required to enrol.
Are classes online, offline, or both?
Both. Offline batches run at our Alpha-1, Greater Noida campus; online live batches follow the same curriculum with the same trainers. Morning, evening and weekend timings are available — ask your counsellor for the current schedule.
What can I do after completing this course?
