Importing data from multiple sources and applying repeatable, refreshable transformation steps.
06Power Query: Merging & Appending Queries+
Combining multiple related tables and stacking similar files into a single clean dataset.
07Power Pivot & the Excel Data Model+
Loading multiple tables into Excel's data model, building relationships, and writing your first DAX measures in Excel.
08Building Advanced Excel Dashboards+
Combining PivotTables, slicers, KPI cards and advanced formulas into a single polished Excel dashboard.
Phase 2Power BI Fundamentals & Data ModelingModules 09–16Importing data, building a data model, and creating your first interactive reports+
09Introduction to Power BI & Data Import+
The Power BI Desktop interface, and connecting to Excel, CSV and database data sources.
10Power Query in Power BI+
Applying the same cleaning and transformation skills from Excel, now natively inside Power BI.
11Data Modeling & Relationships+
Building relationships between tables and understanding how Power BI's model drives every visual.
12Star Schema & Table Design+
Fact and dimension tables, star schema basics, and structuring a model that scales cleanly.
13Calculated Columns vs Measures+
When to use a calculated column vs a measure, and how each behaves inside the model.
14Building Your First Report+
Turning a clean, modeled dataset into your first multi-visual Power BI report page.
15Visual Types & Formatting+
Choosing the right chart, table or card for each question, and formatting visuals for a business audience.
16Filters, Slicers & Interactivity+
Report/page/visual-level filters, slicers, and cross-filtering so viewers can explore the data themselves.

17DAX Fundamentals & Syntax+
Core DAX syntax, common functions, and writing your first custom measures with confidence.
18CALCULATE & Filter Context+
The single most important DAX function — understanding filter context and modifying it with CALCULATE.
19Time Intelligence Functions+
YTD, MTD, prior-period comparisons and other time-intelligence measures for real business reporting.
20Advanced DAX Measures (Ranking, Running Totals)+
Ranking measures, running totals and comparison logic across categories and time periods.
21Dashboard Design Principles+
Layout, visual hierarchy and choosing KPIs so a dashboard is genuinely decision-ready, not just busy.
22Bookmarks, Drill-Through & Navigation+
Bookmarks, drill-through pages and button-based navigation for a guided, app-like report experience.
23Publishing & Sharing Reports (Power BI Service)+
Publishing to Power BI Service, setting up scheduled refresh, and sharing dashboards securely with a team.
24Capstone: End-to-End Advanced Excel + Power BI Dashboard+
Take a real business dataset from Excel/Power Query cleaning through a modeled, DAX-driven Power BI dashboard, and present it.
316 tools & platforms you'll use
Everything is taught on real, industry-standard tools you'll use later on the job — not simulations. Swipe or use the arrows to browse every category.
Going beyond everyday spreadsheet formulas.
Structuring data so reports stay reliable.
Writing calculations that power every visual.
Publishing dashboards a team can actually use.
4How each module is taught
Every module follows the same practical, real-data lens, so you always know what to expect in class.
Concept Walkthrough
Trainer explains the concept with a business scenario first, then the formula or feature, using a real or realistic dataset.
Live Along
You build the same formula, query or report step by step, right alongside the trainer.
Hands-on Exercise
An independent task applying the concept to a new dataset or business question.
Doubt Clearing
One-on-one help for anyone stuck, before the class moves to the next module.
Weekly Assessment
A short practical Excel/Power BI test every week so gaps are caught early, not at the end.
5Projects & portfolio
Five practical, portfolio-ready projects across the full syllabus — the kind of work you'll show in interviews.
- Project 1. Advanced Excel workbook using XLOOKUP, array formulas and Power Query-cleaned data
- Project 2. Excel dashboard built on Power Pivot & the Excel data model
- Project 3. Power BI report connecting multiple data sources with a proper star-schema model

Certificate of completion, plus resume and dashboard portfolio support through our 100% Placement Assist program.
7Quick answers
Do I need to already know Excel to join this course?
Yes, basic Excel comfort is expected — formulas, cell references and simple functions. This course moves straight into advanced formulas, Power Query and Power BI without covering absolute basics.
Do I need any coding or SQL background?
No. Advanced Excel formulas and DAX are their own languages taught from the ground up in this course — no prior coding or SQL is required.
Will I actually build dashboards, or is it mostly theory?
You'll build real dashboards from week one. Every module includes hands-on practice in Excel or Power BI on real or realistic business datasets, ending in a full capstone project.
Do I need my own laptop for this course?
A laptop is strongly recommended since you'll be practicing daily and building a portfolio, but institute computers with Excel and Power BI are also available in class.
Are classes online, offline, or both?
Both. Offline batches run at our Alpha-1, Greater Noida campus; online live batches follow the same curriculum with the same trainers. Morning, evening and weekend timings are available.
What can I do after completing this course?
You'll be ready for MIS executive, reporting analyst and dashboard/BI developer roles, with a dashboard portfolio of real projects, and can progress into the full Data Analytics track with the same placement support.
