- Information you give us directly — name, phone number, email address, address, date of birth, educational qualification, and course preference when you fill an enquiry form, book a free demo/counselling session, or enroll in a course.
- Payment information — transaction ID, payment amount, and payment mode (UPI/card/net-banking/cash) when you pay fees. STI does not store your full card, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials; these are processed directly by our payment gateway partners.
- Academic & attendance records — batch, attendance, assessment scores, and certification details generated during your training with us.
- Communications — messages you send us via WhatsApp, email, phone calls, or contact forms, kept for support and record-keeping.
- Automatically collected data — basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected through standard website analytics when you browse our site.
2 How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to enquiries and schedule free demo classes or counselling sessions.
- Process admissions, fee payments, and issue receipts, certificates, or mark-sheets.
- Communicate updates about batch timings, schedule changes, or course-related announcements.
- Provide placement assistance by sharing your profile with hiring partners, where applicable and with your knowledge.
- Improve our courses, website, and student support based on aggregated, non-identifying trends.
- Comply with applicable legal, tax, or regulatory requirements.

We retain enquiry data for a reasonable period to follow up on admissions, and retain enrolled-student academic records (attendance, assessments, certificates) for as long as necessary to fulfil academic, legal, or certification purposes, including issuing duplicate certificates or mark-sheets on request in the future.

You may, at any time:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you and request a copy of it.
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information.
- Opt out of promotional WhatsApp, SMS, or email communications, while continuing to receive essential enrollment-related messages.
- Request deletion of your enquiry data, subject to any academic or legal records we are required to retain.

7 Children's privacy
Some of our courses are open to school-going students. Where a student is a minor, we expect the enquiry or admission form to be filled with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and any communication regarding fees or academic matters will be shared with the parent/guardian as the primary point of contact.
8 Third-party links
Our website or communications may contain links to third-party sites (such as Google Maps, YouTube, or social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
9 Governing law & jurisdiction

Does Skill Training Institute (STI) sell my personal data?
No. STI does not sell personal data to third parties or unrelated advertisers. Data is used only to counsel prospective students, process admissions, support enrolled students, and, with your consent, share profiles with hiring/placement partners.
What personal data does STI collect from students?
STI collects information you provide directly (name, phone, email, address, date of birth, educational qualification, course preference), payment transaction details (not full card or UPI credentials), academic and attendance records, support communications, and basic anonymized website analytics.
Who can access my data at STI?
Data may be shared with payment gateway providers to process fees, with hiring/placement partners only if you opt into placement assistance, and with government or regulatory authorities where required by law. It is never shared with third-party advertisers or for unrelated marketing.
Can I request deletion of my data from STI?
